Weapon and Armor Proficiency:

A monk is proficient with all simple weapons and with light armor, but not with shields.

Unarmed Fighting (Ex):

Monks do not need weapons to battle. Their unarmed attacks deal 1d8 damage. In addition, they count as armed even when they are not (i.e. they can make attacks of opportunity when unarmed).

Evasive Fighting (Ex):

Monks do not need armor to protect themselves. Whenever a monk is not wearing armor, they may add their Wisdom score to their armor class.

Flurry of Blows (Ex):

Monks can create area of effect attacks. As a full round action, the monk can make a single unarmed attack to every adjacent foe.

Focused Monk (Su):

Monks of at least 3rd level may use their Wisdom instead of their Strength for melee attack and damage rolls when making unarmed attacks.

Soul Power (Ex):

The monk's body is a deadly weapon. Starting at 3rd level, the fists and torso of the monk are treated as being made of magic materials (fists as a weapon, torso as armor). This increases their unarmed attack rolls, unarmed damage rolls, and unarmored AC by 1, and also allows their fists and torso to be enchanted to increase these bonuses (the skill to enchant is Craft (weapons) or Craft (armor), as appropriate).

Ki:

Starting at 4th level, the monk has access to a pool of supernatural energy known as ki. They can spend this ki on various powers. This pool has 4 points at 4th level and grows 3 points every 4 levels after that (i.e. 10 points at level 8).

By meditating for 1 minute, a monk can fill their pool of Ki to its maximum power. They may do this any number of times per day.

Ki Strike (Su):

When a monk of at least 4th level hits with an attack using their fists, they can spend 1 ki to double the damage of the attack. If the monk is at least level 10, they can instead spend 2 ki to triple the damage.

Ki Defense (Su):

A monk of at least 5th level can spend 1 ki as a standard action to boost their defenses. For 1 minute after this, their armor class bonuses from Evasive Fighting and their reflex save are doubled. If the monk is at least level 11, they can instead spend 2 ki to triple the armor class bonuses.

Ascend (Sp):

A monk of at least 5th level can spend 1 or 2 ki to claim the sky. This creates the effect of the spell Skycall with a spell level equal to the ki spent plus 1 (caster level is the monk's monk level).

Spell Resistance (Ex):

Monks are better at resisting magic attacks. Starting at level 6, the monk has Spell Resistance 11 plus their Wisdom score. This increases 2 points every 6 levels thereafter.

Starting at 8th level, a monk can bolster their spell resistance. Just before a resistance break roll is made to break the monk's spell resistance, the monk can spend 3 ki (this requires no action). If they do, their spell resistance is increased by 3 for that resistance break roll. If the monk is at least level 15, this increase is 6 instead.

Evasion (Ex):

At 6th level and higher, a monk can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If they make a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, they instead take no damage. Evasion can be used only if the monk is wearing light armor or no armor. A helpless monk does not gain the benefit of evasion.

Ki Blast (Su):

Starting at 7th level, the monk can shoot blasts of pure ki. As an attack, the monk can spend 1 ki to launch a ki blast at any creature within 50 feet. That creature takes 1d6 damage (no attack roll is required). At level 14, the damage of a ki blast increases to 2d6.

Action Surge (Ex):

Starting at level 8, the monk can move faster than ever before. By spending 1 ki, the monk gets an extra move action that round (this requires no action).

If the monk is at least level 13, they can spend 3 ki to get an extra standard action that round. If the monk is at least level 17, they can spend 5 ki to get an extra full-round action that round.
